Certificate III in Children's Services (CHC30708)
Students have the choice of studying on-line or with a workbook. Both are very "user friendly" and you can complete your training modules working at your own pace in the comfort of your own home.
Certificate III requires observation in a workplace such as a childcare centre, which allows assessment of your practical skills against the knowledge that is required for Certificate III. Assessment and supportive evidence is done through assessment tasks in your work book, as well as observation and workplace tasks. All you need is a small amount of time in a workplace to practice (80 hours). This can be undertaken throughout your training or near completion. Childcare Training Professionals will assist you with a workplace so that you are able to undertake these assessments. You can work at your own pace and decide when and how learning and assessment will take place.

RPL Process
We also offer a RPL process – Recognised Prior Learning. RPL is a valid process that ensures that you are not offered structured training for competencies you have already achieved, and that you gain appropriate recognition for the competencies you have already acquired. The RPL process is generally offered to those who have previously or are currently working in the industry required to complete your qualification. If you think you may be a candidate for an assessment only RPL process, or if you have previously obtained some units of competence then please speak to us regarding prices.
Previous Studies Recognition
The two qualifications encompass National Recognition. You will find the Units of Competency listed for each qualification further on in our information pack. If you have successfully completed any units from the qualifications at another Registered Training Organisation (RTO), we will recognise this study as partial completion of the qualifications. Please contact us to discuss further.
The difference between RCC and Credit transfer
Recognition of Current Competency is quite distinct from Credit Transfer. Credit transfer is a process where credit is automatically granted by a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) to clients who have documented evidence of achievement (eg. a Statement of Attainment/Certificate) in the relevant competency or qualification from another RTO.
